PlayStation 3 games & collectibles
Heavy machines with a well-documented failure mode, so model numbers matter here and get listed. Backward compatibility is stated explicitly rather than left for you to work out from the photo.

Buying PlayStation 3 secondhand
- Only the earliest fat models (60GB and 20GB) play PS2 discs in hardware; later 'backward compatible' claims are software emulation at best.
- Yellow light of death on fat models is a solder failure — reflows buy time, they do not fix it.
- The hard drive is a standard 2.5-inch SATA and is genuinely user-replaceable, which is unusual for the era.
Choose your copy
Start with the photos and description of the exact piece. Loose copies suit a playing collection; if you collect boxes and manuals too, check the listed contents before buying. Edition names alone don’t tell you what is included.
For PlayStation 3 games, compare the platform and region printed on the case or cartridge with your system. Treat download codes and bonus content as unavailable unless the listing says otherwise.
