Buying PlayStation Portable secondhand
- Swollen batteries are common at this age and should be replaced, not used — a back cover that will not sit flush is the tell.
- Dead and stuck pixels were within spec when new; a perfect panel is the exception.
- UMD drives on the 1000 model are the loudest and the first to fail; later revisions are quieter and hold up better.
