- Yellowing is chemistry, not neglect, and it is not evenly distributed; two halves of one shell often differ.
- Check for a snapped cart tab: SNES carts have plastic tabs that break when forced into a front-loader.

Start with the photos and description of the exact piece. Loose copies suit a playing collection; if you collect boxes and manuals too, check the listed contents before buying. Edition names alone don’t tell you what is included.
